Program Descriptions:
Girls and Sisters Circle “Girls Circle” A successful program consisting of mentoring services empowering youth from ages 12-19 years of ages. The program provides mentoring services such as life skills, anger management youth activities, teen dating, domestic violence, bullying, peer mediation, female gang prevention and substance prevention. “Sisters Circle” provides mentoring services to adult women ages 20-25 years of age including parenting, substance abuse, anger management and other pertinent issues.
Empowering Youth for Success GED Program provides general education degree training, certification and testing.
Sister Sister (RISE) Reach Independence Success and Empowerment provides 9 month paid internship job readiness training for women searching for employment in corporate America as well as entrepreneurial training for women who wish to own their own business. It includes financial literacy as well as various business topics.
Empowering Youth for Success Mentoring Program provides on a one–on-one mentoring services by matching volunteer mentors (Camden County businesses) with juvenile mentees. This is for cycles lasting for a four (4) month period.
Women for Success Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program provides a one–on-one mentoring service by matching volunteer mentors (Camden County businesses) with adult women mentees re-entering back into society. Mentees monitor various businesses for a period of time while receiving an internship to learn specific business models and empowering them by making appropriate decision regarding their future.
Sisters Empowering Young Woman program provides gender specific HIV/AIDS prevention education that is culturally, spiritually, and linguistically appropriate for female teenagers at-risk for or living with HIV/AIDS. This program also provides health and wellness education, awareness and services addressing breast cancer awareness, hemophilia awareness, fire safety training, first aid, Heimlich techniques and beauty and hygiene tips.
Community Services Program – provides training to volunteers for community projects and actually organizes and executes specific community projects. Also the program includes organized group trips to the theater and other educational trips. Further, the program encourages the young women to develop legal and courtroom self-advocacy plans, with help from parents or guardians as well as provides drivers' education and self defense classes.
